| March 1, 2007 – Toronto, ON – Knowledge Management Innovations, Ltd. (KMI) announces the commercial release of their web-based Aspects & Impacts module. This newest addition to KMI’s industry-leading Environment, Health & Safety Management Information System (EMIS) supports full ISO 14001 and Responsible Care© analysis on a per-facility basis with as much or as little corporate guidance as required. The new A&I module was designed to distill the complex process of site and process configuration and the association of aspects, impacts, objectives, targets and conditions into a simple, easy to understand interface. The configuration of new sites and processes is easy and requires little or no user training.
Knowing that there are two different methods for enterprise and facility-level Aspects & Impacts configuration, KMI built the system to support both. Vertical configuration, drilling down from a single Activity and/or Sub Activity through its associated Aspects, Impacts and Objectives is supported through a click-and-go design that allows quick creation of an enterprise-wide process template. Horizontal configuration allows fast assembly at the facility-level, adding all relevant Activities and Sub Activities at the same time. This multi-workflow support provides unparalleled usability, speed and accuracy in ISO 14001 and Responsible Care© facility modeling.
In addition, the assessment process is comprehensive but easy for facility personnel to complete. Action items can be assigned and delegated with target dates, email notifications and reminders. Conditions are easily applied to Aspects and scoring of Objectives can be set to default from the corporate level.
As with all modules in the KMI EMIS suite, Aspects & Impacts is fully web-based and built on the Microsoft ASP.NET 2.0 and SQL Server 2005 platform for performance, security and flexibility.
