Implementation Consultant

KMI has an immediate need for a passionate and highly self-motivated Implementation Consultant. The primary job function is leading software implementation projects, collecting and analyzing clients’ EHS business needs, and turning them into software implementation requirements. Therefore this position requires candidates to have good experience in an EHS related business as well as strong background in project management. The selected candidate will be able to apply their project management skills daily while working to serve KMI’s client base.
Responsibilites:
- Lead and manage multiple software implementation projects simultaneously
- Liaison between end user, management and technical stakeholders
- Apply their knowledge and experience in EHS to understand client software requirements
- Clearly document functional specifications and configuration requirements that can be used as a blueprint by Software Implementers and Quality Assurance
- Develop creative solutions to clients’ complex business problems using software
- Formulate and manage project plans by defining deliverables, identifying milestones and assigning resources
- Ensure all deliverables meet customer requirements for function, quality, schedule and cost
- Manage implementation teams
- Communicate project status and health routinely to project stakeholders
- Manage project risks and resolve conflicting priorities
- Provide end user classroom style training sessions
- Stay abreast of EHS industry trends and regulations
Skills/Requirements:
- Demonstrable evidence of analysing and documenting complex business processes in an industrial environment
- Demonstrable experience writing requirements specifications for Information Systems
- Quickly understands the business issues and data challenges of client's organization and industry
- Exhibits confidence and an extensive knowledge of emerging industry practices when solving business problems
- Understands how to communicate difficult/sensitive information tactfully
- End to end understanding and experience of the project lifecycle and project management methodologies
- Understands the components of running a fiscally successful project
- Possesses understanding in the areas of application programming, database and system design
- Understands Internet and Intranet networking architectures
- Able to perform off work hours when needed
- Must be able to travel to the US and abroad for implementation planning sessions
Qualifications:
- University Bachelor’s degree in relevant field
- 5+ years related project management and business analytics experience
- Working in Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) related field
Other Relevant Experience:
- PMP certification
- Experience working with web based applications
