Network Administrator

Located in Oakville, Ontario, we have an immediate need for a self-directed, results oriented and highly skilled IT Administrator with a demonstrated ability to plan, manage, maintain, and improve upon both our internal and external infrastructure.
Qualifications:
- College or university degree or certificate in IT or related
- 5+ years of verifiable experience as a competent IT professional
- Demonstrated knowledge of standard Microsoft technologies
- Ability to work off-hours and on call (20%)
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to understand complex problems and propose quality solutions
Required Skills:
- Expertise in architecture and maintenance of large scale production server systems including topology, security, capacity, and replication planning
- 3+ years professional experience with Microsoft operating systems (experience with Windows Server 2008 and Windows Vista/7 required)
- 3+ years experience design, management, and monitoring of networks
- Must demonstrate proficiency with multi site Active Directory
- Experience with routers, firewalls, and other network equipement
- Expertise with site-to-site and client VPNs
- Expert knowledge of DNS, DHCP, IPv4, Subnets, NAT
- 1+ years experience with virtualization technologies
- Ability to create, configure, manage, back up, and clone virtual machines
- Must have working knowledge of Hyper-V
- IIS Administration (Web, ASP.NET, SMTP, FTP)
- SharePoint Administration (version 3 experience required)
- SQL Server Administration
Other Relevant Experience:
- SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS)
- IT tools: Red Gate, SpiceWorks
- Software development tools: SubVersion, CruiseControl, Mantis
- Fluency with web and software development languages
- Environment, Health & Safety (EHS)
